Mizan joined ARTIS Lab in February 2023 as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Postdoctoral Fellow (MSCA-PF) working on the EU-funded project LIVE-LOVE. She is interested in the implications of city built environments, particularly architecture and urban spaces, for subjective wellbeing and mental health.

She studies this through her unique approach of the psycho-spatial dimensions of experiences, which she continues to develop by converging phenomenology, design thinking, and creative arts-based methods (from her background in Architecture and the GeoHumanities) with systematic scientific methods (learned from Empirical/Psychological Aesthetics and Cognitive Science). Mizan is a lifelong learner, currently cultivating her curiosity in neuroaesthetics.
